Sevilla goalkeeper, Moroccan Yassine Bono, is on the radar as possible replacement for Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois, who recently suffered a knee injury.
The club’s board deliberated briefly and decided that the best replacement for the Belgian goalkeeper would be Yassine Bono, wrote Spanish daily “Marca”. Bono has already shown interest in wearing Real Madrid’s jersey.
Other possible candidates include David de Gea, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Hugo Lloris and Keylor Navas.
Spanish sports daily “AS” said that Bono was picked due to his solid track record, as well as his stellar performance in the 2022 WC and Europa League (2019-20 and 2022-23).
Bono’s height of 1.95 meters, almost equal to Courtois’ two meters, makes him the perfect match.
The Moroccan international is under contract with Sevilla until 2025, with a release clause of €50 million. Sevilla might allow his transfer for a €20 million bid, the same source reported.
