Fez police arrested a 43-year-old Dutch national in Meknes, on Wednesday, pursuant to an international arrest warrant issued by Dutch judicial authorities. The man whose identity has not yet been released is a target of an Interpol red notice and wanted by authorities in the Netherlands for attempted homicide with a firearm.
Investigations led to the capture of the suspect in Meknes, who was traveling with false Belgian identity documents to evade the international search warrant.
The suspect, apparently a gang member, has been remanded into police custody to complete an investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office.
