Head of Morocco’s Water and Energy Solutions corporation Mohammed Amine Cherkaoui and Director General of Russian Rusatom Smart Utilities, an arm of State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM, Kseniya Sukhotina signed an agreement to work jointly on desalination, water conditioning, and water purification projects.
The deal was concluded during the second Russia-Africa Summit, held in St. Petersburg on July 27-28, in the presence of First Deputy Director General for Development and International Business of ROSATOM Kirill Komarov.
ROSATOM-procured technologies and solutions will provide industries and populations with green water, said Komarov.
ROSATOM has an extensive expertise in planning and building desalination and water conditioning units for both the industrial sector and the general public in Kazakhstan and Turkey.
Water and Energy Solutions is a Moroccan firm that works to solve the challenges of water scarcity, drought, and climate change. Using modern desalination technology and creative solutions, the company’s mission is to improve water security and contribute to sustainable development.
