Morocco signed an accord with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to ship 500 tons of fertilizer as a grant to the Caribbean island country, announced Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves.
On the heels of his official visit to Rabat, Gonsalves said that the two countries inked multiple agreements, adding that Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will be receiving 500 tons of fertilizer instead of 150 on a yearly basis.
The Caribbean country will also benefit from $500,000 in funding for various mega projects.
In addition, Morocco will provide a fund totaling $200,000 to equip the Community College’s Technical and Vocational Education Division.
The two countries will collaborate in health, agriculture, technical and vocational training, fisheries, tourism, and renewables.
The Premier also announced the forthcoming visit by a Moroccan delegation in October to open a consulate.
Morocco’s “fertilizer diplomacy” and soft power in several countries led to closer ties with a number of African and Latin American countries, including Brazil, Guatemala and Rwanda.
