The Moroccan team emerged victorious at the 42nd Arab Golf Championships, held July 27-29 in Casa Green Golf Course in Bouskoura, after dominating the game with a fantastic score of 18 strokes under par.
The competition brought together 50 top Arab golfers from 13 countries: Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates.
Egypt finished 1 shot below par, followed by Tunisia, with 27 shots over par.
Egypt’s Issa Abouelela created a surprise by taking 1st place with a score of 5 shots below par, ahead of Moroccans Hugo Mazen Trommetter (-4), El Mehdi Fakori (-4), Adam Bresnu (-4) and Soufiane Dahmane (-2).
Since 2011, Morocco has won the team title 11 times and the individual title 12 times.
The competition is organized by the Moroccan Golf Federation (FRMG), the Arab Golf Federation (AGF) and the Royal & Ancient Golf Club (R&A).
