The partnership between Morocco and Spain is a good example of how an efficient collaboration should work, said on Sunday Spain’s Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska, describing the relationship as true and special.
During a reception hosted by Morocco’s ambassador to Spain Karima Benyaich on the 24th anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s enthronement, the Spanish official told MAP news agency that the two Kingdoms have common interests in several domains, such as migration, security, cultural cooperation and economy.
According to the Spanish official, relations between Spain and Morocco have always been vital, adding that ties are now stable, convergent, and unfailingly steadfast in all areas.
Marlaska congratulated the King and the Moroccan people on the occasion of Throne Day saying that the celebration of this event is an important day for Morocco and Moroccans, but also for countries like Spain that wish to maintain the best relations with Morocco.
He also highlighted the far-reaching reforms by Morocco during Mohammed VI’s reign, mainly in gender equality, economic development, renewables, climate change, and digital transition.
