Morocco is among the top 10 countries with the lowest levels of carbon footprint caused by aircraft movement at airports, according to the Airport Pollution Index.
The study, conducted by British company “Utility Bidder”, shows that the Kingdom knows approximately 83 g of CO2 emissions per passenger per kilometer.
The North African country came after Puerto Rico (1st in the ranking with 73g), Greece, Hungary, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, and Ethiopia.
According to the rankings, Luxembourg took the top spot with 104g of carbon emissions per passenger per km, followed by US Virgin Islands with emissions totaling 103g, and Albania with 101g.
