CEO of National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) Abderrahim El Hafidi and Huawei Morocco signed Tuesday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the integration of renewables in the Moroccan electricity system, according to a press release by ONEE.
The accord shows determination to push the boundaries of innovation, especially regarding power storage technology, for a massive integration of renewable energy into the country’s energy mix.
The Huawei-ONEE partnership promotes creative solutions in the renewable energy sector. It is aligned with Morocco’s aggressive energy transition policy and green investments.
Collaboration between public and private stakeholders is conducive to innovative solutions that would help promote the sector.
