Morocco’s envoy to Russia discussed, on Wednesday, with the latter country’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, the advancement of amicable relations and political dialogue on regional issues of mutual interest between the two nations.
They also discussed the impending Russia-Africa Summit, scheduled for July 27-29 in St. Petersburg.
Also on the table, the outcomes of Moscow and Rabat’s cooperative work on summit material were addressed.
The day before, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had met with the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Moscow, including those from Morocco, Lebanon, Palestine, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE–as well as with representatives from the League of Arab States–in order to discuss the situation in the Middle East, and to zero in on the settlement process in that region.
