The Moroccan national eFootball team has qualified for the second round of the FIFAe Nations Cup, which is being held from July 11 to 14 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after it grabbed the top spot in Group B with 17 points.
After earning 11 points in three wins and two draws, the national team won the return matches on Wednesday with a 3-1 victory over Malaysia, three draws against Finland (1-1), Italy (1-1), and the United States (2-2), and a crushing victory against France (5-1). Along with Morocco, France, Italy, and Finland also qualified.
This is the national team’s second consecutive qualification for the FIFAe Nations Series, after being crowned champion of the Africa and Middle East region and besting South Africa in the final.
The total prize value for winning the tournament is around one million dollars, with the top team receiving $300,000, runner-up getting $150,000, and third-and-fourth-place finishers each pocketing $75,000.
