Morocco is participating in the N7 Conference, scheduled July 10-11 in Manama, Bahrain. Organized by the N7 Initiative in collaboration with the Atlantic Council and the Jeffrey M. Talpins Foundation, with the backing of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Bahrain, the event aims at enhancing integration between Israel and Arab and Muslim countries.
This crucial gathering will feature high-level trade leaders from the Kingdom of Morocco, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Egypt, Sudan, the United States, and other nations.
Atlantic Council senior director William F. Wechsler hoped that the meeting will look into the possibility of concluding a multilateral trade agreement between Israel and Abraham Accords signatories. “Even tough Israel has signed bilateral trade agreements, the N7 countries have not yet signed a collective trade deal.”
The objective is to come up with actionable policy recommendations, with the aim of developing a multilateral regional free trade agreement among the N7 countries.
A multilateral N7 free trade agreement, according to Oren Eisner of the Jeffrey M. Talpins Foundation, would revolutionize the region and boost economic growth.
Morocco had hosted on Dec. 5-7, 2022 in Rabat, an N7 Conference geared towards education and coexistence.
