Morocco and Guinea signed, on Monday in Dakhla, eight agreements covering a wide range of fields, as part of the 7th Morocco-Guinea Joint Cooperation Committee, co-chaired by Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and his Guinean peer Morissanda Kouyaté.
The two sides inked a security cooperation agreement with the intention of bolstering action against terrorism and transnational crime, including measures against drug trafficking and illegal immigration.
In addition, agreements on international transportation of goods and passengers, accreditation and consumer protection, standardization and certification, metrology, hydrocarbons, culture, academic scholarships, internships, and expertise sharing were also signed.
The Republic of Guinea will receive 180 university and technical scholarships each year from the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI).
During this Joint Committee, Guinea reaffirmed its firm support for the Kingdom’s territorial integrity and said that it deems the autonomy plan, proposed by Morocco, as the only credible and realistic solution to solve this dispute.
