The 16th Mussem of Tan-Tan, a renowned cultural festival in Morocco taking place from July 7th to 12th, has resumed after a three-year hiatus, with the participation of the UAE, according to Emirati news agency (WAM).
The UAE’s pavilion is organized by the Cultural Programs and Heritage Festivals Committee-Abu Dhabi in partnership several Emirati cultural preservation groups.
Bringing together groups from Morocco and other parts of the world, the Mussem of Tan-Tan serves as a vibrant platform for social, cultural, and economic exchanges.
These gatherings provide an opportunity for people to get together, buy, sell, and exchange foodstuffs and other products, hold camel and horse-breeding competitions, celebrate weddings, and consult herbalists, added the source.
Musical performances, popular chanting, sports, poetry contests, and other oral traditions are also part of the Mussem.
The Mussem of Tan-Tan promotes sustainable development, economic growth, and environmental preservation through cultural heritage celebration.
