The Australian consulting firm Mobile Digital Insights (MDI), specializing in real-time market studies, is now entering the North African and Middle Eastern markets by acquiring a majority stake in the Moroccan market research firm Insightek for an undisclosed sum, according to a news statement.
Insightek, founded in 2018 by Nabil Abouzaid, conducts market studies in North Africa, thus expanding MDI’s geographical coverage to include Australia, South Africa, Kenya, Belgium, the U.K., the U.S., and Argentina.
“MDI’s in-the-moment mobile research offer is ideally suited to the needs of clients in North Africa and the Middle East. Our partnership with Insightek is extremely exciting and provides a platform for supporting clients in these rapidly growing regions,” stated James Fergusson, CEO of the MDI Group.
Upon the integration of Insightek into MDI, the new entity will be based in Casablanca with Nabil Abouzaid as CEO.
