Four people perished and two more sustained injuries in a shooting that took place in Philadelphia on Monday night, according to Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw, who was speaking at a late-night news conference, reported Reuters.
The two injured victims are aged two and thirteen and are in good health.
Outlaw said the suspect, a man in his 40s, did not appear to have any relation to the victims and was wearing a bullet-proof vest and a police transmitter.
According to the official, a second suspect linked to the incident was detained. It was unclear whether this individual was related to the shooter, but authorities believe he fired back at the shooter.
Outlaw stated that three guns were seized from the crime scene, including a rifle and a handgun belonging to the suspect.
