Indore Composite, an Indian enterprise, opened last Thursday a new industrial unit at Tanger Med, focusing on producing composite materials for telecommunications, renewable energy, transportation, and construction sectors. The facility, located in the Tanger Med industrial complex, will serve clients in Morocco, Europe, and the Americas, said a press release of the company.
The world leader in cable protection solutions investments holds a $16 million investment in a Moroccan cable production plant to strengthen the country’s industrial infrastructure. The company will produce composite materials using glass fiber, carbon fiber, and Kevlar/Aramide.
This new industrial site, which covers an area of 20,000 square meters, will yield an annual production of 2.50 million kilometers of cables, and will create over 400 positions.
The inauguration ceremony, attended by Indore Composite Pvt. Ltd CEO Mukesh Sanghvi and Tanger Med Zones CEO Ahmed Bennis, aims to reaffirm Indore International’s commitment to customers and the Moroccan industrial arena.
Speaking at the event, Sanghvi thanked the Moroccan government, Tanger Med Group leaders, and customers for their support. He praised the sustainable design of the new plant, which focuses on energy-efficient technologies, reducing the carbon footprint, and sourcing raw materials from sustainable origins.
For his part, Bennis emphasized the Indore project’s development as a demonstration of Tanger Med Group’s support for Southeast Asian investors, as well as for enhancing the Kingdom’s competitiveness by conquering new markets and positioning itself on regional value chains.
