Serbia reiterated its support for the territorial integrity of Morocco, and reaffirmed its position of principle against secessionism and separatism, said a press release by the ministry of foreign affairs on Monday.
This came in a phone call between Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dačić.
The Serbian senior official voiced his country’s support for the UN to reach a realistic, pragmatic, and durable political solution to the Sahara issue, in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions.
Dačić commended Morocco for its unwavering support in favor of the preservation of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in conformity with international law.
The official also highlighted the long-standing relations of friendship between Serbia and Morocco, underscoring Serbia’s determination to develop a multifaceted cooperation with Morocco.
In this regard, Dačić extended an invitation to his Moroccan peer to visit Serbia.
