Atlas Group, an Anglo-Moroccan technology firm intending to introduce the first African-designed and engineered BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle), signed on Monday a MoU with BG Motors, Israel’s top automobile importer, marketer and retailer.
The MoU demonstrates BG Motors’ commitment to assisting Atlas in its ambition to redefine the future of affordable zero-emission mobility.
The BEV manufacturing by Atlas will kick off in 2027, and, under the contract, the Israeli company will help with commercial development and sales and after-sales services.
Atlas E-Mobility, headquartered in London and boasting state-of-the-art production and development facilities that would benefit Morocco, intends to capitalize on one of the world’s fastest-growing and most advanced global automotive centers.
Mohammed Yehya EL Bakkali and Mohammed Hicham Senhaji Hannouni founded the firm in 2021 with major private financing.
