Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune dismissed, on Tuesday, Minister of Communication Mohamed Bouslimani following some fake news run by “Ennahar TV” Channel about the Emirati Ambassador’s expulsion from Algiers.
The sacking decision was taken after long consultations between the President and the Prime Minister, said the office of the Algerian head of state on its Facebook page.
Ennahar TV had claimed that the Emirati Ambassador has become a persona non grata after the arrest of 4 fellow countrymen working as spies for Israeli Intelligence “Mossad”.
The Emirati agents had allegedly attempted to leak confidential and top secret files on Algeria.
Eventually, the Ennahar TV had to delete the fake news, with “AL24” taking over to explain that the news were false and unfounded.
