The United States has announced the transfer of 500 military vehicles to Morocco as part of the Excess Defense Articles (E.D.A.) program, according to a document from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives.
The same document indicated that the estimated value of this group of vehicles is $10 million.
The U.S. utilizes the E.D.A. as a mechanism to strengthen foreign partner forces, as equipment delivered under this program is typically offered free of charge to foreign governments and organizations deemed as allies.
Morocco has previously benefited from this initiative on numerous occasions, most recently in 2019.
