While the world is being presented with the SpyX drone, from Israeli Bluebird Aero Systems, at the Air and Space Show 54th ed. (SIAE) in Le Bourget, Paris, Morocco has already started deploying this groundbreaking military technology. The pictures displayed at the show, on Monday, reveal that Moroccan Royal Armed Forces (FAR) were among the first purchasers and users of the unmanned aerial system.
The cutting-edge Loitering Munition UAV platform was unveiled in the presence of Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant, Director General of the Ministry of Defense Major General Eyal Zamir, and Yair Kulas, Head of SIBAT, the Israel Ministry of Defense’s International Defense Cooperation Directorate.
This innovative technology, as described by BlueBird Aero Systems, marks an essential milestone in the evolution of UAV systems and signals a new era of precision and efficiency in the battlefield at a very cost-effective price.
According to a statement issued by the manufacturing company, BlueBird Aero Systems CEO Ronen Nadir said that “SpyX is a game-changer in the field of military UAV platforms … We are pleased to introduce this advanced system, which combines cutting-edge technology with unparalleled versatility and cost-effectiveness”.
SpyX is an electric mini-UAV for loitering and strike missions, enabling tactical teams to identify, confirm, and strike targets at distances of up to 50 kilometers. It features a dual-sensor stabilized payload, advanced video tracker, and can add 2.5Kg warheads for enhanced effectiveness.
