Police services seized 890 kilograms of Cannabis resin on Monday morning in Tangier.
This additional quantity was seized after the arrest in Tangier Med port on June 17 of a Spanish citizen who had been preparing to leave the country on land vehicles carrying one ton and 50 kg of Cannabis resin, said a security source.
The source added that the search led to the discovery of the packaging and storage location of the drugs, inside a house and two garages in the rural area of Khemis Anjara, where police seized 20 additional packages totaling 890 kg.
Eight cars, a four-wheeled motorcycle, and a water bike–in addition to five hunting cartridges and a set of forged car numbering plates–were also seized.
The suspect was remanded into police custody to complete the investigation under the public prosecutor’s supervision.
