Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s recently appointed foreign minister, announced on Friday ambassadors to nine embassies throughout the world, including one in Morocco and one at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), according to Daily Sabah.
Mustafa İlker Kılıç was assigned to Morocco, while Nevzat Uyanik was appointed Turkey’s permanent representative for ICAO.
Yavuz Gül became the new ambassador to Paraguay’s Asuncion, and Mustafa Levent Bilgen was appointed to Kyiv.
Mehmet Samsar was replaced by Tanju Bilgiç, the Turkish Foreign Ministry’s spokesman and general manager of information.
Tanju Bilgiç was assigned to the Russian capital, taking over the post from Mehmet Samsar.
Mücahit Küçükyılmaz was appointed as ambassador to Algeria. Fidan also named Yunus Demirer as new ambassador for the Paris mission. Meanwhile, Rauf Alp Denktaş became the new Turkish representative to Warsaw, the Polish capital.
Nüket Küçükel, the only woman in the group who also held posts in several foreign offices for Turkey, was appointed as the ambassador to Madrid.
President Tayyip Erdogan won Turkey’s runoff election, extending his two-decade reign.
