The Federation of Arab Journalists reiterated, in a press release, its support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and condemned plots of fragmentation and separation.
The federation reaffirmed, once again, that the autonomy plan under Morocco’s national sovereignty is the suitable political settlement for this thorny dispute.
This declaration came after the body’s Secretariat General and Permanent Bureau sessions were held in Baghdad on June 17-18.
Within the release, the Federation warned of the seriousness of the trajectory of growing tensions, clashes, and military confrontations in various Arab nations.
The Federation emphasized that dealing with foreign challenges necessitates developing internal fronts and harnessing national and national capacity, adding that the Arab media must play proactive roles to gain the trust and legitimacy of Morocco’s plan, as it promises to allow for fruitful public debates on alternatives within the framework of multilateralism and diversity that will ultimately lead to unity.
The Federation shed light on a variety of grave issues, such as the Sudanese Crisis, the Palestinian persecution–perhaps culminating in the anniversary of Palestinian journalist Sherine Abu Akleh’s assassination–and the muzzling of journalists in Tunisia.
