245,109 candidates enrolled in public and private schools passed the regular session of the 2023 national baccalaureate exam, posting a success rate of 59.74%, which represents a drop compared to last year’s 66.28%.
Girls made up 142,051 of the applicants who passed the exams during this session, according to the national education ministry.
127,338 students passed the exam with honors (48%), while the success rate for the Moroccan baccalaureate’s international program stood at 64.94%, versus 45.48% for the professional baccalaureate program.
The rate of attendance for the bac exams was at 96.31%, -410,276 students took the exams-, a slight decline from the 97.1% year-on-year.
The test was passed by 21,289 out of 80,615 free applicants, with a success rate of 26.41%.
A total of 838 candidates with disabilities passed the exam, representing a success rate of 73%. These candidates benefited from adaptations during all phases of the exam.
