Moroccan athletes are continuing to shine in all arenas. This time, the national futsal team clinched a victory by winning the Arab Futsal Cup for the third time in a row, beating Kuwait 7-1 in Djeddah on Friday. The team, under head coach Hicham Dguig, excelled throughout the tournament, defeating Comoros (5-0), Lebanon (6-0), and Kuwait (4-2) in Group B encounters.
The Moroccan squad won against Saudi Arabia 5-2 in the quarter-finals before eliminating Libya 5-1 in the semi-finals. The Arab Futsal Cup’s seventh edition comprised national teams from Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Algeria, Palestine, Mauritania, Comoros, and Tajikistan.
King Mohammed VI congratulated the Moroccan futsal team on their outstanding performance, highlighting Morocco’s achievements in regional, continental, and international events. He thanked the players and technical and administrative personnel of the Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) for their patriotism and endeavors to honor the homeland.
