204.743 book enthusiasts flocked to the 28th International Book Fair (SIEL) from June 2-10 in Rabat, according to the Ministry of Culture.
The ministry highlighted that 41.741 book lovers visited the fair on Sunday alone.
With Quebec being featured as a special guest, the 28th literary extravaganza celebrated the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Canada.
There were 737 exhibitors from 51 countries, while 661 writers, philosophers, and poets participated in a total of 221 events on the fair’s agenda.
