Former British Secretary of State of Defense and current MP in the British House of Commons for the Conservative Party (in power) Liam Fox applauded, Thursday, the Moroccan Sahara’s huge investment potential.
“It was a pleasure to meet with Ynja Khattat, President of the Council for Dakhla. We spoke about the huge investment and development in Moroccan Sahara and Moroccan-British partnerships in producing renewable energy,” tweeted Fox.
“Last week I had the chance to meet with Lamine Benomar, the Governor of Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab in Moroccan Sahara, to learn more about the economic growth in the region and the huge potential of Morocco and Britain partnerships,” he added.
The British MP affirmed, during his visit to Morocco at the end of May, that the kingdom’s autonomy plan for the Sahara is the only practical solution to overcome the dispute.
Fox already paid a visit to the Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region to explore investment opportunities there.
