Morocco is hosting the Bloomberg New Economy Gateway Africa symposium on June 13 -14 with the theme “Gateway Africa,” specifically focusing on economic and geopolitical issues.
Bloomberg New Economy Gateway Africa is bringing together 36 influential figures from the public and corporate sectors to address the most important global challenges and assess potential solutions in light of local and regional goals.
The symposium will tackle the effects of the slowing global economy, rising food and energy prices, supply-chain shocks, tighter financial conditions, and the increased risk of catastrophic financial events among sovereign debtors.
Morocco’s Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, will open the event with welcome remarks.
Michael R. Bloomberg stated, “As we expand our New Economy platform to Africa, we look forward to broadening our conversations in Morocco – a major gateway for global trade, as well as a leader in climate action.”
