FAR Inspector General and Commander of the Southern Zone, Major General Mohammed Berrid, received, on Wednesday in Rabat, Colonel Major Célestin Simpor, Chief of the General Staff of the Burkinabe Armed Forces.
The discussions between the two officials, which took place in the presence of heads of the relevant FAR General Staff offices, focused on bilateral cooperation between the Royal Armed Forces and the Burkinabe Armed Forces, according to a press release by the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces of Burkina Faso.
According to the same source, the Chief of Staff of the Burkinabe Armed Forces and the Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces both demonstrated their appreciation of the friendship, active solidarity, and mutual trust that currently exists between the two nations and which unites the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Burkina-Faso.
Military cooperation between the two forces, which started in 1974, has primarily focused on training Burkinabe military personnel in FAR institutions and training facilities.
