The National Police (DGSN) vehemently denied claims circulating on social media that 160 policemen have left the country due to “poor working conditions.”
The Police clarified that the actual number of cases involving disciplinary action for unjustified abandonment of duty or prolonged annual leave outside the national territory is significantly lower, with 38 agents during 2022 and the first half of this year, in contrast to the inflated numbers posted on social networks.
The DGSN specified that 4 other members faced no administrative sanctions as they presented valid medical records and hospitalization documents justifying their extended stays outside the country.
The investigations conducted by the DGSN’s human resources departments concluded that all the aforementioned cases were due to personal or family reasons rather than professional motives or unsatisfactory working conditions.
