Moroccan airports achieved an incredible 99% recovery in passenger traffic for the year 2023, compared to 2019, as reported by the Ministry of Transportation and Logistics.
This surge exceeded the 2022 numbers and is anticipated to continue growing during this year’s Marhaba operation, boosting air connectivity and reviving tourism in the Kingdom.
The recent board meeting of the National Airports Office (ONDA), chaired by Minister Mohammed Abdeljalil, reviewed the 2022 financial year, which posted a turnover of 3.90 billion MAD (a 86% rise compared to 2021 and 9% decrease from 2019). Operating expenses amounted to 799 million MAD, resulting in a net profit margin of 323 million MAD.
The meeting also discussed measures to support partners, particularly airlines, and reviewed project progress and recommendations.
