Fouad Arif will take the helm of Moroccan news agency (MAP) pursuant to the decision taken at the Council of Ministers which convened, Friday in Rabat, under the chairmanship of King Mohammed VI.
The royal appointment came at the proposal of the head of government.
Arif was a journalist at the news agency before holding the positions of chief of the bureaus of Paris and Washington. He is a graduate of the prestigious King Fahd School of Translation in Tangier.
Born in 1968, the newly-appointed managing director is known for his professionalism, expertize and devotion.
