Morocco is diversifying its European partners and moving towards Eastern Europe to work with new mining collaborators, on top of them the Czech Republic which proved to be a pertinent choice.
The visit by the Czech Republic’s delegation of mining experts to the Kingdom of Morocco, on Mar. 12, is very significant as it opens new prospects for a win-win partnership and economic growth in both countries.
The delegation held meetings at the Ministries of Economy and Energy Transition to discuss investment and cooperation opportunities.
Czech Vice-Minister of Industry and Commerce Edvard Kozusnik and Czech Ambassador to Morocco Ladislav Skerik have been invited to participate in the energy conference “Power To X” in Marrakech.
The team paid a visit to Rabat École Nationale Supérieure des Mines (ENSMR). In a meeting with the school’s director and other senior members of the institution, Professor Karel Schulmann explored the possibility to conduct geological research in Morocco in partnership with Moroccan geologists.
The visitors also met with representatives from Mohammed V University in Rabat to discuss future collaboration between the university’s geology department and the Centre for Lithospheric Research (CLR).
The Czech team held talks with members of the Rabat International University (UIR) to discuss cooperation on Erasmus+ exchange agreements.
The group also paid a visit to the “Société de Sel de Mohammedia” and met with the Director General of the National Hydrocarbons Office to examine investment potentialities and collaboration with Czech firms.
