Forbes Middle East has featured three Moroccan leaders on its prestigious Top 100 Travel & Tourism Leaders 2023.
Adel El Fakir, CEO of the Moroccan Tourism Office (ONMT), was ranked 18th. Habiba Laklalech, Head of the Moroccan Airports Authority (ONDA), secured the 32nd spot; while Abdelhamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc (RAM), got the 41st spot.
These figures have made significant contributions to their sectors, propelling Morocco’s tourism and travel industry forward.
Forbes based the ranking on various factors, including business size, ownership of assets, and designation and experience of the business leader.
For this event, the ONMT declared that “it is the first time a Moroccan leader has entered the Top 20 in this ranking.” This recognition for El Fakir and the ONMT team mirrors their exceptional efforts in promoting the Moroccan destination.
2023 Forbes list features 59 entries from hospitality companies, 31 from the aviation sector, and 8 from tourism authorities.
