The State of Israel and Palestinian Islamic Jihad agreed, Saturday, to a ceasefire, reported local media.
The cease-fire was mediated by Egypt and started at 07 p.m. local time.
The head of Israel’s National Security Council Tzachi Hanegbi thanked Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi Saturday night, and expressed Israel’s appreciation for Egypt’s vigorous efforts to bring about a ceasefire, said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office in a statement.
Violence in the Gaza Strip claimed the lives of 4 Islamic Jihad Leaders and 28 civilians, in addition to 86 injured.
