Israeli army carried out airstrikes, early Tuesday, and massacred at least 13 people, including three leaders of the Islamic Jihad (PIJ), and injured 20 others. Children and civilians were also among the casualties, according to Palestinian Health Officials.
The PIJ acknowledged the death of the three of its commanders, namely Jihad Ghannam, Khalil Al- Bahtini, and Tareq Ezzedine, all members of the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian movement.
According to the PIJ statement, the three leaders were killed along with their wives and children.
The Israeli army claims the airstrikes were in response to the firing of rockets into Israel from the Gaza Strip, which the three PIJ members were responsible for.
