Moroccan footballer Youssef En-Nesyri, a member of FC Sevilla club, was announced as the most outstanding player in the Spanish soccer league for April, according to La Liga Player of the Month.
The 25-year-old Moroccan was the competition’s best player, scoring three goals against Cadiz, Celta, and Villarreal CF in his efforts to keep his team unbeaten, with four wins and one draw.
This is the second time En-Nesyri was named La Liga MVP of the Month, having previously received the award in 2021 with the Santander club.
This is also the seventh time a Sevilla player has received the distinction since September, 2013.
Ivan Rakitic received the prize in 2014, while Victor Vitolo secured the accolade the following year. Steven Nzonzi was recognized as MVP in 2017, followed by Tomás Vaclík the year after that. Not to be outdone, Fernando Reges would attain the honor in 2021.
