Morocco shipped 35,000 tons of fresh raspberries between July and February of the 2022/23 period, knocking the United States out of the third place globally, as reported by East-Fruit.
In 2022, Morocco exported 56,000 tons of fresh raspberries, and only two countries came ahead of it: Spain (72,000 tons) and Mexico (112,000 tons). The USA had exported only 50,000 tons.
Morocco’s fresh raspberry exports continue to grow as a result of its ideal climate, advantageous geographical location, and efficient logistics.
Moroccan shipments of frozen raspberries hit a record high in 2022, and the country was the primary cause of the price fall in January 2023, having driven out Ukraine, Moldova, and other suppliers from the EU market.
