The newly-appointed FAR Inspector General, Commander of the southern zone, Major General Mohammed Berrid, received on Friday in Rabat, US Congress Armed Services Committee Chairperson Mike Rogers.
Berrid was appointed as such on Apr. 22, by King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), in replacement of Lieutenant General Belkhir El Farouk.
The American delegation met earlier with Morocco’s Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, and Minister Delegate for the National Defense Administration Abdellatif Loudiyi.
Rogers was accompanied by Committee members Sara Jacobs and Dale Strong.
This meeting is part of the strengthening of military and security relations between Morocco and the United States.
