The candidacy of a Polisario member (T.S) for political office in Spanish municipal elections was rejected on Tuesday due to the communist Mas Madrid party member having falsified personal domicile data, as reported by several activists.
The housing certificate scandal called attention to the fact that the candidate had previously listed three different Spanish cities–Madrid, Malaga, and Bilbao–as her primary place of residence.
This falsification was a means to benefit from humanitarian assistance from the three Spanish municipalities, and–like the aim of most separatists living in Spain–was an attempt to garner the sympathy of many supporters of the Spanish Communist Party, which has proved largely hostile to the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco.
