On Thursday, a group of young adults were successful in preventing a Polisario-affiliated tanker truck from selling on Mauritanian territory fuel that had been smuggled from Tindouf camps, reported the Tindouf Autonomy Support Forum (Forsatin).
Forsatin said that the truck belongs to Salem Lebsir, the money laundering operational arm of Ibrahim Ghali and his partner in their efforts to systematically pilfer Sahrawi assets.
The truck, which is one of a total of seven tankers operated by Lebsir, was caught red-handed in its unsuccessful attempt to steal the fuel .
Polisario members at first tried unsuccessfully to cover up the incident in seeking to persuade the witnesses to return the truck to them, and then floundered in a laughable attempt to arrest them, noted Forsatin.
In this vein, the forum noted that Polisario is working tirelessly to monopolize the resources of the fuel trade, which are added to the revenues of other activities related to arms sales and human trafficking.
“The tanker truck belongs to the Ministry of Building and Construction of the separatist group,” said one of the young adults in a video published by Forsatin.
