The Lower House approved, Wednesday, Draft law No. 09.22 related to providing legal protection for medical staff in case of medical errors.
The Health Ministry will support health professional, in case of medical malpractice, and pay compensation.
The bill, submitted by Health Minister Ait Taleb, is also meant to shield health staff against threats and assaults.
Other draft laws submitted on the same occasion concern mainly the creation of the Moroccan Agency for Blood and Derivatives, the National Agency for Medicines and Health Products, and the basic compulsory insurance system for unemployed people.
