The Mohammed VI Foundation for the Foreign Ministry Agents’ Social Welfare opened its doors on Wednesday in Rabat.
Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita chaired the inauguration ceremony at the foundation’s headquarters.
The said Foundation will pay for schooling, complementary health insurance, health care and transportation, care for children with disabilities, housing, reimbursement of transportation costs, catering and a daycare near the Ministry.
Bourita said in his keynote speech that health insurance abroad is now available, in addition to an enhanced performance and travel allowances.
Regarding the administrative aspect, the Minister said that a statute relating to the staff of the Foreign Ministry will be created later this year to ensure better working conditions and solve the pension problem.
He also noted that the number of female ambassadors and vice-consuls has increased tremendously.
