Bagayoko Teneba Latifati, an Ivorian citizen who had been reported missing for two weeks, has finally been found in Tan-Tan (the west coast of Morocco), safe and sound, the Ivorian News Agency
According to a statement released on Wednesday by Sam Wakouboué Dago– spokesperson for the Ministry of State for Foreign Affairs, African Integration, and the Diaspora—to the Nigerian news agency (AIP), the concerned, who is six months pregnant and accompanied by her two minor children, had intended to cross the Mediterranean Sea in hopes of reaching Europe.
The press release indicated that the woman left Côte d’Ivoire to escape the unbearable difficulties of her marital life and chose to continue her life elsewhere regardless of the cost, with no intent to return.
In accordance with the instructions of the Minister of State, the Ivorian diplomatic mission in Morocco–headed by Idrissa Traoré–was able to convince Bagayoko to abandon her plans, promising her “happy outcomes.”
The return trip of the three members of the Bakaré Aliou Oliadé family is being facilitated by the Ivorian Ambassador to Morocco.
