Police services in the city of Meknes (northern Morocco), in close coordination with elements from the Territory Surveillance (DGST), arrested on Sunday three individuals aged 25 to 34 for alleged involvement in drug possession and trafficking.
Two suspects were caught, while riding a car on the highway to Meknes, carrying 6,420 psychotropic pills, as per a security source.
The third suspect was apprehended in the old Medina of Meknes and he is believed to be the recipient of the illegal substance. He had some money on him as payment for the drug.
The suspects were remanded in custody to wrap up the investigation under the competent public prosecutor’s office.
