Kabylia Self-Determination Movement (MAK) signed, Friday in Paris, its first international agreement with the Moroccan League for Citizenship and Human Rights (LMCDH).
The agreement touches on cooperation and the protection of human rights, the strengthening of public security, and good governance.
The accord lays provisions for the protection of people in armed conflict, the training of observers and volunteers, and the procurement of medical and logistical services for humanitarian programs.
It also provides for collaboration with the United Nations in Geneva and New York, as well as the sharing of information to uphold human rights.
“I would like to thank our Moroccan brothers, particularly president of LMCDH Driss Sedraoui, for signing this agreement that would give a boost to actions related to human rights and citizenship in Morocco and Kabylia”, said MAK leader Ferhat Mehenni.
