The Morocco Shorts International Film Festival, co-organized by the Association of the Rabat International Festival for Arts and Culture and the Faculty of Educational Sciences, is set to kick off on May 8-11.
The highly anticipated event will showcase a diverse plethora of both local and international filmmakers from more than 25 countries in Europe, America, Africa, Asia, and Middle East, according to a statement by the Association.
The festival, which aims to highlight the art of short filmmaking, coincides with the 40th anniversary of the creation of the Faculty of Educational Sciences. The Audience can expect a varied range of genres and themes, from drama and comedy to animation and documentary.
With an impressive lineup of more than 40 short films, workshops and training sessions, master classes, and panel discussions, the festival offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of short filmmaking and connect with like-minded individuals and learn from highly qualified experts.
The International event will be attended by screenwriter and director Sam Lahoud, actor and director Mohammed Ahmed Bensouda and filmmaker and academic Daoud Ouled Sayed.
The festival will culminate in a prize-awarding ceremony, rewarding outstanding achievements in different categories.
