The Kaolack gendarmes (Senegal) have seized more than 2000 tons of Moroccan fertilizers bearing fraudulent Gambian logos, Senegalese news outlet SeneWeb reported Saturday.
The seized merchandise is valued at 300 million CFA francs. The Moroccan cargo was imported into Senegal through the Dakar Port Authority.
The illegal move was meant to evade the control of the security forces when shipping the fertilizers to the Gambia.
The gendarmes handed the catch to the Kaolack trade department, said the same source.
