Moroccan multinational Hightech Payment Systems (HPS) made it to the top 30 Fintech Companies in the MENA region, according to Forbes Middle East.
HPS, which started in 1995, is the longest-serving Fintech business. It is listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange and has a market cap of $435 million as of March 22, 2023.
In a list dominated by Egyptian and Saudi Arabian companies that have 8 and 6 entries respectively, Morocco has one entry like Bahrain and Iraq.
The ranking was based on the study of “the latest technologies to digitize banking, finance, and investment” in each company.
